Vaccines Are Compulsory for Some Manitoba Workers and Politicians and Indoor Mask Use is Coming Back.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister notes more than 75.5 percent of Manitobans are fully vaccinated and case numbers are low in Manitoba but case counts around us are climbing so a fourth wave is inevitable.  That’s why he is announcing all front line provincial employees who work with vulnerable populations must be fully immunized by October 31st or undergo frequent COVID-19 testing.  He noted this includes health care providers, educational and early learning and child care providers, public servants and agencies who work in high risk settings and Manitoba Justice officials who work with vulnerable people and correctional facilities.  He adds as a government it is their expectation to lead by example so they will require all government staff in the Manitoba Legislative Assembly to follow these policies including MLAs.

In addition the province will put indoor mask requirements in place across Manitoba in the coming days including in schools and will expand the list of activities and services that can only be accessed if an individual is fully immunized.
