The Super Site in The Pas is Closing.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced 153 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified since Thursday bringing the five day test positivity rate to 2.3 percent. Of the 27 cases reported today five are in Northern health where 31 cases are active. Of the total 58,283 reported cases in the province 345 are active, 56,750 individuals have recovered and 63 are in hospital with 16 in intensive care.  Roussin says even with the vaccine people have to be aware of the fourth wave.  He explains we know that with the Delta variant people can have break through cases although much more rare than unvaccinated individuals and its very very rare to see fully vaccinated individuals that are having severe outcomes.  He adds vaccine is key to limiting the impacts of the fourth wave and limiting the nature of what further restrictions could be.

It was also announced the super site in The Pas is closing and will provide its last immunizations on Wednesday.  You can find information on vaccines on their website www.manitoba.ca/COVID19.
