The Manitoba Government is Making a Major Investment in Health Care.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has announced a capital investment of an estimated 812 million dollars for approximately 38 projects across the province. He explained this plan was developed and led by our clinical leaders and our public health system experts across the province of Manitoba.  He said these 38 projects will include some new facilities, they will also include renovations and expansion to existing ones, it will greatly reduce the need for many patients and their families to have to travel long distances for care by providing more services in the community closer to home.

              Manitoba’s Chief Nursing Officer Lanette Siragusa noted for rural and northern communities this investment in equipment, buildings, technology and health care professionals will mean greater access to health services locally with increased in home care and other supports that will reduce the need for travel and support Manitobans at home or in the community for longer.
