Vaccines are Still the Focus in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan health reported 820 new cases of COVID-19 from August 11th to 17th bringing the seven day average of new cases to 117.  There are six new cases in Far North East Two with 41 cases active. There were 435 recoveries reported over the same time bringing the total of recoveries to 49,896.  The total of reported cases now stands at 51,499, 79 people are in hospital with 11 in intensive care and 61 of the people in hospital are not fully vaccinated.

             

As of today 76 percent of those 12 and over have received their first dose of vaccine and 66 percent are fully vaccinated.  All Saskatchewan residents 12 years and older are eligible for vaccination and the government of Saskatchewan is permitting the administration of additional doses of vaccine for Saskatchewan residents who may require them for international travel effective immediately.
