The Northern Health Region is using a number of methods to encourage vaccination against COVID-19 like community outreach including some door to door visits in the community.  CEO Helga Bryant says the vaccine not only protects you but everyone you’re in contact with so they are making it easier for you to get it.  She explains right now they actually have nurses going around the community of Flin Flon from door to door, some into businesses and they’re just going to where people are to give them every opportunity to get the first dose if they haven’t done that and to get a second dose if they’ve already had their first, so they’ll be wearing colorful vests, they’ll have ID and they are legitimate and they are immunization nurses that are going around trying to get everybody vaccinated.

Bryant adds the campaign will be ongoing and she reminds you to continue to follow the three Ws wear your mask, wash your hands and watch your distance.
