In a release the NDP state many seniors in Canada have been shocked to learn their Guaranteed Income Supplement has been partially or completely cut after receiving CERB or CRB.  They report seniors who have been incredibly hard hit by this pandemic are now struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table because of this undisclosed rule by the Liberal government.

Northern Manitoba NDP Member of Parliament Niki Ashton says seniors have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic and deserve a government that will help them when they need it, instead the Liberals are cutting a big chunk of their monthly income.

NDP Member of Parliament Daniel Blaikie sent a letter to Liberal Ministers asking them to find an urgent solution to this problem and as of end of the week he had not received a response.
