Intensive Care Numbers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan Continue to Drop.

Manitoba public health reported 101 new cases of COVID-19 over the long weekend bringing the five day test positivity rate to 2.6 percent.  They also reported three additional deaths with one in Southern health and two in the Winnipeg region.  Of the new cases 49 were in Winnipeg and 24 in Interlake Eastern with lower numbers in other regions including seven in Northern health.  Of the total 57,691 reported cases 528 are active, 55,982 people have recovered and 95 are in hospital with 19 in intensive care.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 175 new cases from July 31st to August 3rd bringing the seven day average of new cases to 48. They reported no new deaths. There were 179 recoveries reported.  There are 58 active cases in Far North East.  The total number of vaccines administered in the province is just over 1.4 million with almost 12 thousand delivered over this time period. As of August 3rd there are 58 people in hospital with 10 in intensive care.
