Walk For Freedom

The Freedom Outreach Program is holding its first annual Walk for Freedom Saturday.  Their Program Manager Chris Lowe says funds raised will support their programs based in Denare Beach.  He explained Freedom Outreach is a non-denominational non-profit organization that deals with troubled youth and young men that have life controlling problems, mostly substance abuse.  He says it’s a one year residential program and they don’t get any support from the government but the community has been very helpful and this walk is one of their main fundraising items for the year.

The Walk is six kilometers starting at the Walmart Parking lot at 10 Saturday morning going up to Pioneer Square for refreshments and on the Creighton for hot dogs and drinks at the North Sask Seniors building.  Pledge forms are available for anyone interested by calling 306-362-2117.
