Steps are Being Taken Towards Recommendations.

Manitoba Deputy Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Jazz Atwal reported 143 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday bringing the five day test positivity rate to 3.6 percent.  He also reported one new death from the Winnipeg health region. Of the 37 reported cases today 21 are in the Winnipeg region with single digits in other regions including zeroes in Prairie Mountain and Northern health regions. Atwal says they are looking at what happens after public health restrictions are lifted. He explains we need to start normalizing COVID to some degree and make sure we are comfortable knowing that COVID is out there. He says there are going to be recommendations from public health but there are still choices that you can make on your own interactions and what you do, how you behave and how you behave with others to mitigate risks on your own as well.

Of the total 57,204 reported cases 922 are active, 55,177 individuals have recovered and 117 are in hospital with 27 in intensive care with none in care out of province.
