An update has been issued on a forest fire that was burning last evening near the Paradise Lodge turnoff on number ten highway.

A spokesperson for the province reported this morning the fire is approximately 10 to 15 hectares in size and located approximately seven kilometers east of Bakers Narrows.  Fire personnel and water bombers were used on the fire yesterday and crews report making good progress.  Additional suppression staff will join the efforts today and the fire will be monitored by air for any concerns.
