Saskatchewan health reports 86 percent of people over the age of 80 are fully vaccinated and 81 percent of those over 40 have received their first dose.

They reported 31 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 45. They reported no new deaths.  Of the new cases Saskatoon had 11 with all other regions reporting cases in the low single digits.  Of the total 48,854 reported cases 435 are considered active, 47,851 people have recovered and 69 are in hospital with 14 in intensive care.  They note declining hospitalization numbers are a significant indicator that vaccination efforts are having an impact in the province.
