Saskatchewan Has Enough Vaccine For Those Still Needing a Shot.

Saskatchewan health reported 52 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 46. They also reported two new deaths with one each in the North West and North Central zones.  Of the new cases 13 were in Regina and 12 in North West with single digits in other zones including one in Far North East.  Of the total 48,823 reported cases 464 are considered active and 47,791 people have recovered. There are 22 active cases in the Far North East zone.

Premier Scott Moe advises don’t wait to get vaccinated.  He explained the Public Health Agency of Canada recently released some figures showing that since vaccines have become available over 95 percent of new cases in Canada have been in unvaccinated people, about four percent of those cases were partially vaccinated and about half of one percent were from fully vaccinate people so vaccines are working.

Moe adds over 40 percent of eligible residents are now fully vaccinated so as vaccinations continue he is confident they can move to lifting all restrictions on July 11th.
