Vaccine Eligibility has Opened Up In Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan health reported 52 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 55.  They reported no deaths.  Of the new cases there were ten each in Saskatoon and North West with single digits in other zones including one in Far North East.  Of the total 48,590 reported cases 605 are considered active and 47,420 people have recovered with 76 in hospital and 14 are in intensive care.  There are 14 active cases in Far North East. Health Minister Paul Merriman says they are working to get people vaccinated as soon as possible.  He says they’re working with community leaders, they’re working with schools and they’re also looking at the millennials that are in the 20 to 40 range to make sure they’re aware that getting a vaccine now is much better than getting a vaccine in a few months.

All Saskatchewan residents who have received their first dose of vaccine are now eligible for their second dose after 28 days.
