Vaccine Eligibility Continues to Expand in Both Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Effective 11:45 tomorrow morning Manitoba’s second dose eligibility will expand to include people who received their first dose on or before June 6th.

             

Manitoba public health reported 122 net new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 7.1 percent.  They also reported three new deaths with two in Winnipeg and one in Southern health.  Of the new cases 64 were in Winnipeg with lower numbers in other regions including 22 in Northern health.  Of the total 55,589 reported cases 1789 are active, 52,668 people have recovered and 209 are in hospital with 57 in intensive care along with 13 in care outside the province. There are 14 active cases reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.          

 

             

Meanwhile starting tomorrow all Saskatchewan residents who received their first dose of vaccine will be eligible to receive their second dose following a 28 day interval.

             

Saskatchewan health reported 32 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 61. They also reported one new death in the North West zone.  Of the new cases 10 were in Saskatoon with single digits in other zones except Far North East with zero.  Of the total 48,537 reported cases 607 are active, 47,365 people have recovered and 75 are in hospital with 12 in intensive care.  There are 14 active cases in Far North East.
