The Test Positivity Rate is Down in Manitoba While Intensive Care Numbers Drop In Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 176 net new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 8.8 percent.  They also reported one additional death in the Winnipeg health region.  Of the new cases 90 were in the Winnipeg region with lower numbers in other regions including 34 in Northern health.  Of the total 54,915 reported cases 2532 are active, 52,271 individuals have recovered and 246 are in hospital with 60 in intensive care as well as 20 in care outside the province.  There are 18 active cases reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district compared to 111 reported in The Pas, OCN, Kelsey district and 13 in Thompson, Mystery Lake district.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 94 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 75.  They reported no new deaths. Of the new cases 25 were in Saskatoon and 11 in Central West with single digits in other zones including one in Far North East. Of the total 48,220 reported cases 752 are considered active, 46,907 people have recovered and 87 are in hospital with nine in intensive care.  There are 19 active cases reported in the Far North East zone.
