New Cases Reported Have Dropped in the Winnipeg Region While Saskatchewans Average Remains Low.

Manitoba public health reported 115 net new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 10.6 percent. They also reported two new deaths with one each in the Winnipeg and Southern health regions.  Of the new cases 55 are in Winnipeg and 28 in Southern health with lower numbers in other regions including 23 in Northern health. There are 18 active cases reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.  Of the total 54,596 reported cases 2972 are active, 50,520 individuals have recovered and 266 are in hospital with 63 in intensive care along with 24 in care outside the province.

 

Saskatchewan health reported 47 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 70 which is the lowest average since November 1st.  They also reported four new deaths with one each in the North Central, North East, Saskatoon and South East zones.  Of the new cases 14 were in Regina and 12 in Saskatoon with single digits in other zones including one in Far North East.  Of the total 48,042 reported cases 722 are considered active, 46,761 people have recovered and 97 are in hospital with 15 in intensive care.  There are 21 active cases reported in Far North East.
