Preparations are underway for the Northland Ford Canada Day Parade being held on Thursday, July 1st. General Manager Allison Cooper says it will give people a chance to kick off summer with floats and vehicles under the theme Fun in the Sun what summer means to you. She explains it could be camping, it could be boating, it could be beach fun. She noted there will be prizes for first, second and third, most creative, most unique but the biggest thing is they just want you to come in the parade. She adds they want a presence so you don’t have to over think it, it can be just a truck with stuff in the back but just your presence in the community is all they’re looking for.
Letters are going out to local businesses but if you don’t receive one you can pick up a form at Northland Ford, call 204-687-3940, email allison@northlandford.mb.ca or find a form on their website or Facebook page. Classic cars will line up to lead the parade and there will be a Show and Shine at Northland Ford following the parade.
