New Cases Have Made a Bit of a Jump in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 234 net new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 12 percent.  They also reported two additional deaths with one each in Winnipeg and Interlake Eastern regions. Of the new cases 144 are in the Winnipeg region with lower numbers in other regions including 21 in Northern health.  Of the total 53,153 reported cases 3836 are active, 48,328 individuals have recovered and 300 are in hospital with 68 in intensive care and 36 in care outside the province. There are 16 active cases in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 90 new cases this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 97.  They also reported two new deaths with one each in North West and North Central zones. Of the new cases 16 were in Regina, 15 each in North Central and North West and 14 in Saskatoon with lower numbers in other zones including four in Far North East.  Of the total 47,517 reported cases 1053 are considered active, 45,913 people have recovered and 104 are in hospital with 18 in intensive care including one from Manitoba.  There are 35 active cases in the Far North East.
