Committee Chair Dianne Russell says it’s a Walleye derby again this year with fishing in Trout Lake, Kississing, Cranberry Lakes, Athapap and all in between. She explains all you have to do is go to either the Gateway, Gas Bar or Rubi’s Outdoors and pick up a 30 dollar entry package, 10 dollars for youth, then you go fishing from June 10th to 29th, enter online at the Flin Flon Trout Festival website and it’s as easy as that. She adds they’re busy gathering cash and prizes and hoping to have a really good time with this social distancing safe event for the Trout Festival.
A current Manitoba fishing license is required to claim prizes. Photos must be submitted by midnight June 29 and more information on entering can be found on their website www.flinflontroutfestival.com.
