More Roads in the North Need Attention.

The results for CAA Manitobas Worst Roads Campaign have been released.

While a number of the worst roads submitted were from the province’s capital including the winner Taylor Drive a number of provincial highways made their way into the top ten including Provincial Roads 307, 250 and 450.

The Community Relations Manager with CAA Heather Mack says a few roads in the north were nominated including in Thompson and Flin Flon. She says her take away from this was they’d like more votes from the north next year so they’re going to take that back to see what they ca do to help promote that because they want to hear about roads across Manitoba and to be perfectly honest the photos that she saw submitted from the north of the province would probably scare the heck out of some Winnipeggers noting the states of the roads are much different  and they like to see more about that and more government attention to it.

There were nearly three thousand votes submitted to this year’s campaign with 421 roads receiving nominations across 55 Manitoba municipalities.
