Reported COVID-19 Cases in Manitoba are Approaching 52 Thousand and are just over 47 thousand in Saskatchewan.

Manitoba public health reported 355 net new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 11.5 percent.  They also reported five new deaths with three in the Winnipeg region and one each in Southern and Northern health regions.  Of the new cases 220 were in Winnipeg region and 56 in Southern health with lower numbers in other regions including 23 in Northern health.  There are 14 active cases reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.  Of the total 51,935 reported cases in the province 4179 are considered active, 46,689 individuals have recovered and 297 are in hospital with 68 in intensive care.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan health reported 131 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 133. They also reported two new deaths both in the North West zone.  Of the new cases 34 were in Saskatoon,  21 in Regina and 11 in Far North East with lower numbers in other zones. There are 32 active cases in Far North East.  Of the total 47,097 cases reported in the province 1314 are considered active, 45,240 people have recovered and 100 people are in hospital with 23 in intensive care.
