Saskatchewan health reported 113 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 138.  They also reported one death in the Saskatoon zone.  Of the new cases there were 24 each in Saskatoon and Regina, 15 in South Central and single digits in other zones with none in Far North East.  Of the total 46,748 reported cases 1368 are considered active and 44,841 people have recovered.  A total of 10,731 variants of concern have been identified with the Far North East reporting a total of 46.

Due to the large numbers of people in the province getting vaccinated residents will once again be able to participate in outdoor team sports and activities as part of the previously announced Re-opening plan. Sports participants must continue to abide by current public health restrictions including capacity limits for outdoor gatherings. A total of just under 726 thousand doses of vaccine have been administered. Details on the plan can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
