Building Use Was Part of the Creighton Council Meeting Wednesday.

Creighton Town Council has met with members from the Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association to discuss their request to have ice ready at the Sportex one month earlier than their regular schedule. The request is for September so they will be able to offer a program for kids aged six to ten who have never played hockey.  Council is considering the request and discussions will continue.

Council has received a letter from Creighton School requesting use of the Centennial Building this June for the purpose of Educational Psychological testing.  The school has several students in need of assessments which usually comes with costly expenses with travel and accommodations in Saskatoon. Student Support Coordinator and teacher Laura-Lee Brown has secured funding through Jordan’s Principle to cover the cost of these assessments. A psychologist would be visiting the community to conduct the assessments working with the students and families providing diagnosis and recommendations for support to help the students.  This request was approved with no cost to the School.
