People who received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on or before March 29th can now book their second dose appointment. Information on pop up clinics for the vaccine can be found online at protectmb.ca or call 1-844-626-8222. You need to know the date you received the first dose and the type of vaccine received. Medical Lead for the Vaccine Implementation Task Force Dr. Joss Reimer says there is a benefit in that if you are fully vaccinated that means two weeks after you received two doses you will no longer be required to self isolate if you are a close contact of a COVID case so long as you don’t have any symptoms. She points out public health officials will confirm with you that you are exempt from self isolation based on your situation so you don’t have to make this decision on your own based solely on your immunization status.
They hope all Manitobans will receive their second dose by the end of July.
