Saskatchewan Residents Need to Get Vaccinated So Things Can Open Up.

Saskatchewan public health reported 111 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 139.  Of the new cases 45 were in Saskatoon, 19 in North Central and 15 in Regina with lower numbers in other zones including zero in Far North East.  There are 18 active cases in the Far North East zone.  .

Premier Scott Moe is urging everyone to get vaccinated stating vaccines work as vaccines eradicated small pox, vaccines eradicated polio and vaccines will greatly decrease fatalities from COVID-19 so long as enough of us go out and receive them.  He adds if you truly want to see all the restrictions removed and all your personal freedoms restored then he would ask you to do your part, get vaccinated and the good news is in this province and across the nation the overwhelming majority of Saskatchewan people are making the right choice, they are getting vaccinate so let’s keep it going.

Saskatchewan’s Re-opening plan is based on vaccination numbers and they have reached the level where Step One can begin May 30th and Step Two on June 20th.
