Variants of Concern Cases Number Over One Thousand in Three Zones in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan public health reported 173 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 162.  They also reported two new deaths with one each in the Far North East and North West zones. Of the news cases 34 are in Saskatoon, 30 in Regina, 25 in Central East and 24 in North West with lower numbers in other zones including two in Far North East. Of the total 45,310 reported cases 1776 are considered active, 43,010 people have recovered and 132 are in hospital with 25 in intensive care.  As of Thursday 9820 variants of concern have been identified with 4498 in Regina, 1430 in Saskatoon and 1006 in South East with lower numbers in other zones including 20 in the Far North East.

             

They also note over 60 percent of all adults have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
