Snow Lake RCMP Responded to a Fatal Collision Wednesday Morning.

At approximately 6:20 Wednesday morning Snow Lake RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 39 just west of the Highway 392 junction. When officers arrived on scene a pickup truck was completely burned in the north ditch. A semi-trailer was in the south ditch with the driver still inside. The male passenger from the pickup truck from Brookdale and the 49-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the semi from Flin Flon received serious injuries. Both men were transported to hospital. The male driver of the pickup from Brandon was pronounced deceased on scene. 

             

Rcmp report from the initial investigation it appears the semi was travelling eastbound on Highway 39 when the westbound pickup entered the eastbound lane. The semi driver attempted to avoid the collision ending up in the ditch but the vehicles still collided. It was raining and slightly foggy at the time of the collision.
