New Cases of COVID-19 Have topped Six Hundred in Manitoba While the Total of Reported Cases in Saskatchewan is over 45 Thousand.

        

 

Manitoba public health announced 602 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 13.8 percent provincially and 15.3 percent in Winnipeg.  They also reported three additional deaths with two in Winnipeg and one in Southern health.  Of the new cases 409 are in the Winnipeg region and 97 in Southern health with lower numbers in other regions including 36 in Northern health.  There are 19 active cases reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.  Of the total 46,916 reported cases 4659 are considered active, 41,238 people have recovered and 291 are in hospital with 76 in intensive care.  The total variants of concern cases reported stands at 7636 with 2546 active.

             

Meanwhile Saskatchewan public health announced 146 new cases bringing the seven day average of new cases to 169.  They reported no new deaths.  Of the new cases 52 are in Saskatoon and 26 in Regina with lower numbers in other zones including two in Far North East.  Of the total 45,128 reported cases 1785 are considered active, 42,821 people have recovered and 138 are in hospital with 26 in intensive care.  As of Wednesday the total variants of concern cases identified is 9687 with the Far North East at 19
