New COVID Numbers are Up Again in Manitoba as are Active Cases in Saskatoon.

Manitoba public health reported 402 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 13.4 percent.  They also reported four additional deaths with three in the Winnipeg region and one in Southern health.  Of the new cases 252 are in Winnipeg and 50 in Southern health with lower numbers in other regions including 18 in Northern health.  Active cases now reported in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district stand at 15. Of the total 46,314 reported cases 4550 are active, 40,748 individuals have recovered and 293 are in hospital with 80 in intensive care. Reported variants of concern cases now total 7141 with 2386 active and a total of 17 reported in Northern health.

 

Saskatchewan reported 141 new cases this afternoon and no new deaths. One hundred and eighty people have recovered leaving the province with 1,786 active cases. The Saskatoon zone has the highest number of active cases of any region in the province at 533. The province also reported 134 people in the hospital with 28 in intensive care.
