Manitoba public health officials have announced a second super site will soon be opened in the Northern health region with a location in The Pas expected to be open no later than June 9th.  They also remain on track to start booking second doses of COVID-19 vaccines on Friday.  Vaccine Task Force Medical Lead Dr. Joss Reimer says second doses will first be given to people with underlying medical conditions and the conditions include people who are on dialysis, people who have Down’s Syndrome, people who have received or are on a list to receive an organ transplant, people who are currently receiving chemotherapy cancer treatment and those who are living with HIV and they ask that people only book at this time if you have one of the conditions that’s listed on the website.

Reimer says following this group appointments for second doses will be available based on when people received their first dose and second doses are expected to move quickly as vaccine shipments increase. More information can be found at protectmb.ca.
