Manitoba public health reported 557 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 12 percent.  They also reported three additional deaths with two in Prairie Mountain and one in the Winnipeg region.  Of the new cases 431 are in Winnipeg region with numbers in the 20s and 30s in other regions including 27 in Northern health.  Ten cases are considered active in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district.  Of the total 43,700 reported cases 4046 are considered active and 38,652 people have recovered.  A total of 5210 variants of concern cases have been reported with 82 reported in Northern health.  Of the total 1974 are considered active.
