The Flin Flon School Board Received Reports on How Students Have Been Busy in the Division.

Despite the disappointment of being unable to offer Kindervention again this year the Flin Flon School Division will be providing each of the children eligible with an impressive assortment of activities they can enjoy with their families.  These packages include such items as tracing activities, books, Wikki Stix, shapes to link together, magnetic letters, lacing kits for fine motor skills, dinosaurs for counting, 60 batches of homemade Play Dough and many other educational materials.  The Board thanked Mrs. Grove for her hard work in ordering and putting together the activity bags and bins including making the Play Dough.

At Ruth Betts students will be participating in Women in Science and Engineering at the end of the month. The school has also received a 21 thousand dollar grant from the Breakfast Club of Canada, an organization that helps children reach their full potential one breakfast at a time.  The middle years classes are preparing to virtually participate in this year’s Canada wide Science Fair interacting with young scientist who have made it to the national fair.  This year’s event is interactive with guest speakers, games and more.

The Board also passed a motion that Jody Pawlachuck be appointed Principal of Many Faces Education Center effective September 7th.
