Restrictions were Part of the Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce Virtual Meeting Yesterday Afternoon.

Chamber Co-Vice-President Kory Eastman reported the Chamber is preparing a position on the further restrictions placed on small businesses and personal services and would like to see statistics that indicate cases are being spread in these businesses.  He said the government sees numbers go up and feel they have to do something.  Eastman and most other members feel shutting down businesses completely is not the way to go noting Saskatchewan’s plan doesn’t close them but reduces capacity so businesses can continue to operate.

Their guest was Andrew Johnson who is their ChamberPlan representative with Titan.  He told them he is trying to increase the number of Companies in the community that are using their plan by bringing more information to small businesses to get them involved.  Johnson explained their plan is the number one plan in Canada with over 30 thousand small businesses participating with any surplus generated remaining in the plan to try to keep premiums low.  He spoke on the many options they offer and how to adapt the plan to meet the needs of those involved through the Chamber.
