Manitoba has set Guidelines For Schools.

The Manitoba governments has announced kindergarten to grade 12 schools in Winnipeg and Brandon will move to remote learning effective Wednesday until May 30th.  Schools in the rest of the province will remain open with other measures during this period.  Schools with multiple cases will be moved to remote learning with existing guidance, school officials can require students or staff who are showing symptoms to stay home for ten days and will be encouraged to get tested, all extra-curricular activities, organized sports and off site activities are suspended except for physically distanced walks or runs in the community and no indoor singing or use of wind instruments will be allowed and all other health measures remain in effect.

             

Public health reported 1014 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend with 811 in Winnipeg region and lower numbers in other regions including 18 in Northern health.  The number of active cases in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district is 11.
