New Public Health Orders Are Coming to Lower Manitoba COVID-19 Numbers.

Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases have shown the need to reduce contacts outside our households.  He lists some of the new orders to be effective 12:01 Sunday morning.  Outdoor gatherings will be reduced to five people and this includes household members; the following businesses and activities will be required to close including gyms, VLTs, museums, galleries and libraries, indoor community, cultural and religious gatherings, personal services, indoor sports and recreation, dance theatres, music schools and day camps; restaurants, bars and patios will close to in person dining but will be able to provide take out and delivery services; outdoor sports and recreation will have a maximum of five people and organized team sports will not be permitted and retail stores and garden centers will be open at ten percent to a maximum of 100 people whichever is lower.

Roussin adds these will be in effect for three weeks until May 30th.
