The Vaccine Age Continues the Downward Trend in Saskatchewan.

Beginning tomorrow eligibility in the Saskatchewan age based immunization program is expanding to include 35 and over.

             

Saskatchewan public health reported 196 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 224. They also reported two new deaths with one each in the Regina and Saskatoon zones. Of the new cases 44 were in Regina, 40 in Saskatoon, 31 in South East with numbers in the teens and single digits in other zones.  Of the 42,203 total reported cases 2250 are considered active, 39,452 people have recovered and 171 are in hospital with 39 in intensive care. As of Tuesday 7580 variants of concern have been identified with the larger numbers in Regina with 4026, Saskatoon 897 and South Central 560 with much lower numbers in other zones.

 

Health officials in Saskatchewan say residents who have had their first vaccine should be able to get their second dose in June.
