Creighton Residents Will Pay A Bit More in Taxes.

Mayor Bruce Fidler says unfortunately the Town’s taxes are going up slightly.  The mill rate has had to be increased to 1.8 from 1.7 although it is the first time in a long time since this has been done.  With some revenue lost and a difference in the assessment this year by the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency the Town has to make up a little revenue.  The increase will not be a big jump as the Town wants to keep it as low as possible and keep services as best they can. Fidler says Town projects and services will carry on as normal and even better adding the Town has a number of projects going on this year and they have to keep revenue up so a small tax hike had to be done.
