Reported Cases of COVID-19 Have Topped 40 Thousand in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan public health reported 245 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 252.  They also reported one death in the Far North West zone. Of the new cases 80 are in Regina, 39 in Saskatoon, 32 in South Central and 25 in South East with lower numbers in other zones.  Of the total 40,177 reported cases 2538 are considered active, 37,163 people have recovered and 187 are in hospital with 45 in intensive care.  As of Sunday 6204 variants of concern have been identified with the highest numbers in Regina with 3511 and Saskatoon climbing to 639 and South Central to 472 with lower numbers in other zones.
