Reported Variants of Concern are Going Up in Southern Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan public health reported 245 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 251.  They also reported one new death in the Regina zone.

             

Of the new cases 75 are in Regina. 40 in Saskatoon, 27 in South East, 23 in North West with numbers in the teens and single digits in other zones including Far North East with nine.  Of the total 39,392 reported cases 2463 are considered active, 36,458 people have recovered and 186 are in hospital with 52 in intensive care.  As of Thursday 5691 variants of concern have been identified in the province with the higher numbers still in Regina with 3286, South East 596, Saskatoon 576, South Central 444 and Central East 236 with much lower numbers in other zones.
