New COVID-19 Cases are Spread Across Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan public health reported 254 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 248.  They also reported one new death in the South Central zone.  Of the new cases 76 are in Regina, 31 in Saskatoon, 29 in South East, 19 in Central East, 17 in South Central and lower numbers in other zones including nine in Far North East. Of the total 39,137 reported cases 2505 are considered active, 36,182 people have recovered and 177 people are in hospital with 48 in intensive care.

             

As of Wednesday 5521 variants of concern have been identified with the larger numbers in Regina with 3206, South East 575, Saskatoon 560 and Central East 229 with lower numbers in other zones with Far North East remaining at two.
