Manitoba Has Seen a Bump Up in COVID-19 Cases.

Manitoba public health reported 261 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 6.4 percent. They also reported one additional death from the Prairie Mountain health region linked to the Russell Health Centre.  Of the new cases 159 were in the Winnipeg region, 36 in Northern health, 31 in Southern health, 25 in Interlake Eastern and ten in Prairie Mountain health region.  They noted there are now only six active cases in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district. Of the total 36,890 reported cases 1682 are considered active and 34,246 individuals have recovered.  Ongoing reviews of active case information has allowed for the removal of an additional 910 cases from active to recovered.  The total of reported variants of concern cases is 901 with 277 active with 23 in the Northern health region.
