30 Hour Famine

A group of students at Hapnot Collegiate is taking part in a thirty hour famine on May 3rd.  Organizer Corinne Mathews explains the famine raises awareness and money for World Vision.  She says they usually have 30 to 35 kids signed up and they go and collect pledges from friends, family and people in the neighborhood and then once they’ve all collected their money they famine for thirty hours at the school in a big sleepover for the weekend and there’s usually a lot of fun and games that the kids do.

Students will be collecting pledges or you can go to www.famine.ca and click on Hapnot closer to the date of the famine.
