Public Health Orders in Manitoba Have Been Extended to the End of the Month.

Manitoba public health officials advise minor amendments have been made to current public health orders. The changes allow liquor cart sales on golf courses and increasing the maximum attendance at self-help meetings to 25 effective tomorrow.  Due to increasing test positivity rates and the risk posed by variants of concern in Manitoba at this time, public health orders are being extended to April 30th.

             

Public health announced 137 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the total reported cases to 34,793.  They also announced three additional deaths in the Winnipeg region.  Of the new cases 60 are in the Winnipeg region, 55 in Northern health and 18 in Prairie Mountain with lower numbers in other regions. The total number of cases of variants of concern is now 339 with 40 new cases reported with 35 in Winnipeg region, two each from Interlake Eastern and Prairie Mountain and one from Southern health region.
