Public Health Orders in Saskatchewan Have Been Extended.

Saskatchewan health reported 189 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 226.  They also reported two additional deaths with one each in the North Central and Regina zones. The Chief Public Health Officer is extending the provincial public health orders announced March 9th to remain in effect until April 26th and will be reviewed at that time.

             

Of the new cases 74 are in Regina, 43 in Saskatoon, 23 in South East with lower numbers in other zones including one in Far North East.  They also reported 2830 variants of concern have now been identified in the province with 1986 in Regina, 178 in Saskatoon, 245 in South Central and 232 in South East with lower numbers in other zones including four in Far North East.

             

Of the total 35,171 reported cases 2138 are considered active and 32,588 people have recovered.
