Reported COVID-19 Cases are Approaching 35 Thousand in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan health reported 217 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 226.  They also reported three additional deaths with two in Regina and one in the North Central zone.  Of the new cases 97 are in Regina, 36 in South East, 30 in Saskatoon, 17 in Central East with lower numbers in other zones.  Of the 34,980 reported cases 2195 are considered active, 32,342 people have recovered and 202 are in hospital with 44 in intensive care.

             

As of Monday 2677 variants of concern have been identified in the province with 1898 in Regina, 232 in South Central, 214 in South East and 163 in Saskatoon with lower numbers in other zones including four in Far North East.

             

One out of every ten Saskatchewan residents in their 50s, one third of residents in their 60s and more than two thirds of resident in their 70s have now received their first dose of vaccine.
