Support is Coming for the Arts and Culture Sector.

Manitoba Premier Brain Pallister has announced the government is investing six million dollars for the creation of a new Arts and Culture Sustainability Fund to provide financial support for Manitoba’s arts and culture sector.  He says it will be administered by the Manitoba Arts Council and Manitoba Film and Music and arts and heritage organizations such as museums, galleries, festivals, cultural facilities, community arts, book publishing, artists and musical groups will be eligible for financial support. He adds the funds will be allocated by the Arts Council and other adjudicators on the basis of those who most need the support.

             

Additional eligibility criteria, program and application details will be available through the Manitoba Arts Council and Manitoba Film and Music shortly.
