The Budget, Government Funding and Bill 64 Highlighted the School Board Meeting.

At their meeting this past Tuesday the Flin Flon School Board passed a motion from the Finance Committee to approve the 2021-22 budget as presented at the public meeting March 23rd.  The budget will now be forwarded to the Manitoba Education Funding Branch no later than March 31st as required.  Secretary Treasurer Heather Fleming reported the Division has received 89,600 dollars from the government as part of the expanded capital program.  This money will go towards HVAC control upgrades at all the schools as well as new flooring at the entrance and lobby areas at Ecole McIsaac School.  There was also lot of talk regarding Bill 64.  Superintendent Tammy Ballantyne has shared a power point presentation to the Division’s Facebook page if parents have any questions.
