Variants of Concern are Up Again in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan health reported 174 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of daily new cases to 128.  They also reported three additional deaths with one each in Central West, Far North West and Far North Central zones.  Of the new cases 86 are in Regina, 20 in Saskatoon and lower numbers in other zones including three in Far North East.  Of the 31,259 reported cases 1345 are considered active and 29,500 people have recovered.

             

They also reported 21 new confirmed variant of concern cases bringing the total to 156 confirmed cases with 141 or 90 percent in the Regina zone. There are 508 presumed variant of concern cases with 434 of those in the Regina zone, 30 in South Central, 24 in South East, 13 in Saskatoon, six in Central East and one in Far North East.
