March is Nutrition Month.

This Month the Dieticians of Canada are focusing on how healthy eating is different for everyone.

Spokesperson Tamara Sarkisian explains dieticians are just trying to help you find your own healthy so what really works for you so what she tells people is if you’re really busy during the week planning ahead and doing a little bit of meal planning can really save you some time throughout the week and that really depends on your own nutrition needs and it also depends on your cultural habits so really what dieticians are doing is helping you on an individualized bases and trying to help you out with what really works for the individual. 

 

Sarkisian says that food insecurity is high in Manitoba when compared to the rest of the country as one in seven households face food insecurity.

 

She adds that the issue affects one in five of Manitoban children,
