More People Qualify for COVID-19 Vaccines in Manitoba.

Eligibility to be immunized in Manitoba has been expanded to include individuals aged 73 or older and First Nations people aged 53 or older. To book an appointment you can call 1-844-626-8222 and specify Flin Flon Community Hall with pop up clinics there this and next Friday.  They emphasize all vaccines being used in Manitoba are safe

             

Meanwhile Manitoba Public Health reported 93 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the five day test positivity rate to 4.4 percent.  They reported no additional deaths.  Of the new cases 51 are in Northern health and 40 in Winnipeg health with single digits in other regions. Their dashboard map indicates nine active cases in the Flin Flon, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage, Sherridon district. Of the total 32,966 reported cases 1,035 are active and 31,044 individuals have recovered.  Nine additional confirmed cases of the B.1.1.7 variant of concern have been detected in the Winnipeg region.
